The concept of the Computer Mechanic arose as a heart felt need for plain speaking about computers, rather than the computer speak uttered by so many Technically orientated people.
The founder and manager, Paul Shevlin is primarily a qualified business professional holding a masters degree in management and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. He is also a qualified Microsoft Certified Software Engineer and is Trained in A+ computer Hardware issues. When computers were introduced to his consultancy Business some 25 Years ago, he quickly discovered the difficulties "Ordinary" managers and staff had in absorbing the new technology.
He felt that the smooth sales pitch perfected by the marketing departments was totally undermined by the Technical Jargon spouted out when a staff member had a problem or sought an explanation of a process
