Welcome to Rostrevor Equestrian Centre - a friendly riding school and livery newly open on 2 June 2007 and started teaching with 8 horses. Building up on this was a necessity as many people requested information and wanted to take lessons. Currently we have 16 horses and still need to get a few more.

LOCATION

Rostrevor Equestrian is situated in a beautiful rural location in the village of Rostrevor in Carlingford Bay, and convenient to Kilkeel, Newry, Warrenpoint, Hilltown, Rathfriland and Mayobridge.

With its breathtaking scenery, Rostrevor Equestrian enjoys an idyllic location against a backdrop of the Mourne Mountains and offers a truly magical setting for trekking and leisure pursuits. The centre is located in Carrickbawn Forest in midst picturesque woods right beside Kilbroney Park.

The excellent purpose built facilities include:

• New flood lit all weather ménege (40m x 20m) with jumps environment.
• New all-weather ménage (10m x 5m)
• Nineteen stables for accomodation
• All stables generously proportioned and fully equipped with automated water drinkers
• Daily turnout in 32 acres of paddocks and fields
• Country fields, quiet lanes and roads for riding
• Lessons to suit all abilities, including show jumping and dressage
• Family orientated
• Nervous, novice riders actively encouraged by our patient staff
• Full / part and working livery stables
• Qualified teaching to BHSAI

Services available

Livery services  include full or part time, as well as working livery. Year round turnout is provided. We do our best to cater for individual requirements.

Full time livery includes:
Morning and evening stables plus mucking out. Owner exercises horse. Shavings and feed included.

Part time livery includes:
Morning stables. The owner does evening stables and exercises horse. Shaving and feed included.

Working livery includes:
Same as full time livery, but the riding school has the usage of the horse for riding lessons etc.

Morning stables:

• Check horse
• Water and feed
• Change or adjust rugs in the winter time 
• Turn out

Evening Stables:

• Catch and check horse
• Water and feed
• Change or adjust rugs in the winter time

If weather allows, horses will be turned out at night time. 

Prices:

Prices currently range from £25 - £50 per week.
