What is Life - Coaching?

Life coaching as a process aims to remove the “barriers” which prevent people from making the most of themselves and their abilities. It also helps to bring about a healthier work/life balance.

About me

My name is Helen McKillen and I am based near Belfast.  I have studied personal development for over twenty-five years.
I use my knowledge and life experiences to help people uncover the hidden treasure which lies within us all – our own true self.

“If you do what you’ve always done – you’ll get what you’ve always got

When you know better – you’ll do better”

My aims in life-coaching

  • To develop the client’s self-acceptance of the person they are today with all the qualities and imperfections that contribute to their uniqueness.
  • I then seek to move the client forward while still acknowledging their past experiences.  The aim is to move the client from an attitude of feeling “powerless” to being able to actively take responsibility for creating their own solutions”.

My work with clients is always confidential, non-judgemental and supportive in helping them find and to trust their own capabilities and wisdom.

Life coaching can help with many issues some of which include:

  • Improving confidence and self-esteem
  • Reducing stress and helping  people feel more in control of their own life
  • Enhancing family / personal relationships
  • Broadening education / career prospects
  • Achieving a healthier work / life balance.

I have studied and achieved my certificate through the Professional Coach Training Course with Self-Factor Coaching in Scotland with Duncan Coppock.  I am also a member of the European Coaching Institute and comply with their Code of Ethics
