provides advice, training and technical support for building owners and building design professionals (architects, building service engineers and quantity surveyors) for the forthcoming Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

The proprietor Dr Ken Beattie (EUR.ING. M.Sc. EUR. Ing. MIMechE MCIBSE) obtained an Honours Degree in Energy Stimulation Buildings from Dublin University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Managament Dublin Institute of Technology. He also obtained a phD from Sheffield University in Sustainable Building Design using Simulation.

He is currently a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and is registered with the European body FEANI as a Chartered Engineer.

The EU Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings (EPBD) contains a range of provisions aimed at improving energy performance of residential and non-residential buildings, both new-build and existing. The EPBD also hopes to limit the effects of Global Warming by reducing CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.
