Whilst Moore Campbell Furniture works mainly in hardwoods of native or imported varieties like oak, ash, maple, elm, cherry and yew, we are not averse to taking on a project using reclaimed timber.   Wood that has been storm-felled or rejected for other purposes, particularly if it has interesting figure (e.g. spalted beech) is also considered.  This helps add to the character of Moore Campbell Furniture.

Each piece, whether a one-off or a small batch of designs, is individually stamped or numbered by the maker.  Moore Campbell Furniture also welcomes the opportunity to work with furniture outlets to produce a range of wooden products to suit their customers.

Commissioning a piece of furniture should be an enjoyable experience for the customer working together, with Moore Campbell Furniture, through the design stage, deciding on the style, size, wood and finish of the proposed piece.  Visiting the customer’s home at this stage could be important to get a feel for the area for which a piece is intended.   The visit will also allow practical details to be discussed e.g. should a piece be built in stages to allow it to be manoeuvred into a room?
