The Family Farm is situated in the Drumlins of Co Down one mile from Dromore and three miles from Hillsborough. The Farm stocks Rare Breed British Saddleback Pigs, a variety of breed of cattle, some free range hens and one rabbit!

We aim to keep our pigs in an natural environment where they are able to exercise, play and root having access to housing if they so choose. They are not castrated nor are their teeth or tails clipped. Their food does not contain any growth promoters or antibiotics. Being Rare Breed pigs in a free range environment they naturally grow slower than housed pigs together with the ability to graze, root and feed on fallen apples, nuts or whatever they can find these factors allows their meat to developed outstanding taste.

While the meat carries more fat than pork on the supermarket shelves fat naturally bastes the meat while it cooks giving succulence and added flavour.
