Louise Lilley trained at the NCAD in Dublin. Shortly after attaining her degree she moved to Northern Ireland, married and started a family. She continued to work while her children were small. However now that her children are older, she is working full time on her painting. Still developing as a painter, she concentrates on figurative painting while enjoying the challenges of landscape and portraits. She particularly enjoys capturing the personality and essence of a person, in portrait form-be the subject three or 93. Her Studio space is situated above The Central Bar, Irvinestown and the local characters provide endless inspiration for paintings. Louise had a very successful exhibition in the Higher Bridges/Clinton Centre in Enniskillen in 2005. A lot of interest was expressed by the American visitors from the Clinton Group and hopefully that connection with America will inspire her work. |
