I have over 20 years experience as a technical writer producing documentation for a variety of products (both hardware and software) and services, for example:

Datasheets/databooks for semi-conductor intellectual property products.

User/Installation/On-line Help documentation for Access Control Systems and Door Entry systems. Providing information for training material.

Producing Work Procedures/Codes of Practice for a laboratory

Producing documentation for Sonar/Radar systems, Control Systems

I have an LCGI (Licentiate City & Guilds Institute) in Technical Authorship and an MA in Technical Authorship from Sheffield Hallam University.

I am a Fellow of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators and a Member of both the Society for Technical Communication and the Institute of Quality Assurance.

In the course of my career I have gained experience in documenting assorted software packages at various levels from high level overviews down to procedure descriptions.  I have also become proficient in the use of a variety of "tools" of the trade including Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, MS Word, Demoshield, Corel Draw, HDK, Word Perfect.
