Goldstar was established in April 2003 by Stephen Coulter, along with Plunkett McNelis, to provide independence mortgage and financial advise to the people of Omagh and the surrounding areas.

Stephen Coulter has many years of experience and qualifications. Stephen was employed by Prudential for eighteen years as a Financial Advisor. Previous to this, he was employed as a District Agent for Inter-Alliance for one year.

Plunkett McNelis also has many years of experience and qualifications. For over one year, Plunkett was employed by Inter-Alliance as an Financial Advisor. Prior to this, Plunkett was employed for six years as a Financial Consultant for Prudential Assurance Company. Before this, he was employed by the Halifax Building Society for two years as a Customer Services Advisor. Plunkett was also a Shop Manager for Poundhill Shopping Centre for two years.
