BACKGROUND

The Northern Ireland Centre for Coaching & Stress Management was established by Rikki Keag in early 2002 to satisfy a market need in the Province for professional coaching and stress management services.

WHAT IS COACHING?

Coaching can be defined as ‘the art of facilitating the performance, learning and development of another’ and the Centre specialises in five areas:

Business/Workplace Coaching

Helpful advice on how to improve your personal effectiveness and wellbeing in work.

Life Coaching

Helping you to clarify/discover your goals and develop action plans and behaviours appropriate to successfully achieving them.

Stress Management Coaching

Advice and insight in to the causes of stress and how to conquer them.

Career Coaching

Advice and tips for career transition and job hunting success including CV and interview preparation.

Coaching Courses

Group training courses including Basic Theory and Practice of Coaching, Performance Coaching and Managers as Coaches.

All of the coaching services are available to either individuals or organisations.

WHAT IS STRESS?

Stress occurs when pressure exceeds your perceived ability to cope. We all have to learn to deal with stress but what may surprise you is how much we are directly responsible for our own levels of stress. The good news is that this puts the individual in the advantageous position of being able to reduce stress levels , given the know-how of course!

The Centre specialises in a multidisciplinary approach to stress management and its prevention and individual consultations are available as well as group training programmes based on current research and practice.
