What we offer

We are based in an unspoilt scenic area of outstanding natural beauty on the shores of Lough Neagh, Co.Tyrone.

Hacking and trekking is available in and around this secluded and beautiful area, which embraces a unique multitude of attractions and sites of archaeological and global interest, from wishing trees to one of the finest Celtic Scripture Crosses in Europe.

Our historic routes also include Coyles Cottage - one of the best-kept and original Irish cottages in Ireland, a World War II Aerodrome, Kinturk Cultural Centre, an Eel Fishery and many more.

As well as the historic element of the hacks, nature lovers will be delighted with the array of wildlife that can be spotted on horseback.  One good example of a hack we offer is ‘The Gort Hack’.  This entails taking you on a scenic ride along the shores of Lough Neagh and is perfect for spotting native wild animals such as pheasants, herons, cranes or the illusive red fox.

We can also ride along the ‘Forgotten Roads’ route, which will take you along old ancient Irish roads that are no longer in use.  One fine example is the Cot Lane, which crosses the Ballinderry River and is famous worldwide for its trout and wildlife.

On the longer hacks we provide lunch (to meet your dietary requirements) so you will have time to stop, have a bite to eat and take in the beauty of the surrounding landscape.  This allows you and the horses a well-earned break and is an ideal day out for the whole family.

Different routes are available depending upon ability and experience, and can last from half an hour to a whole day.  We would be more than happy to discuss your individual requirements.

Tuition

As well as the hacks we offer a range of tuition packages to help you get started with horse riding, or simply to brush up on your existing skills.  All our tuition packages will be tailored to your individual needs, ensuring you get the most out of your time with us.
