Alan Girvan has been involved in archery since 2001, shooting compound. He has shot for Great Britain on two occasions, at the Junior World championships in 2004, and also at the Europa cup in the Czech Republic, where he received a silver medal. He has gained the class of Grand Master Bowman and has the privilege of being the first person in Ireland with achieving a score of over 1350 . Alan has an extensive knowledge of the compound bow and has set up other archers bows with a great deal of success. Archers Edge opened in November 2005 , and is situated at Unit 9, Nautilus Centre, Rooney Road ,Kilkeel . Facilities include Sales Area , workshop, and indoor shooting range. We sell a wide range of compound , Recurve, Longbows & Archery accessories. Youth Groups and families are welcome to come along and spend an evening with us to enjoy this sport, and perhaps you may even find a talent and skill which you did not know you had. One to one coaching is also available. Our aim is to provide a first class service to all archers in a warm and friendly environment. |
