Summary of Services:
- We complete visual inspection of electrical appliances, flexible cable and plug for any signs of damage / deterioration. Where re-wire able plugs are fitted their covers will be removed and the wiring/cable retention checked for faults.
- Fuse sizes checked and corrected where necessary.
- Depending on appliance type (class 1 or 2) the appropriate 10/ 25A earth continuity and 500V insulation tests will be applied. All I.T. and electronic equipment will be continuity tested at 100mA, this is a safe test level, testing at higher values could degrade the electronics. All detachable power supply cables and extension leads will be tested/labelled separately inline with IEE recommendations.
- Minor repairs such as fuse changes, plugs rewired, replacement of damaged plugs can be completed at a small charge.
- Equipment found to be faulty will be clearly identified, isolated from use and brought to the attention of the responsible person.
On completion of testing you will receive an electronic copy of an itemised report of all appliances, testing results with item locations, and also a Certificate of Conformity. (This can also be supplied in hard copy, freely at your request)
