Yoga
Bernie Kirrane has been practicing yoga since 1978. She deepened her experience during the six months spent in India in 1983, learning from teachers in Sivananda tradition. She trained with the Galway School of Yoga and has been teaching Satyananda yoga since 1999. Satyananda classes offer a gentle, balanced approach to asanas (postures) pranayama (breathing) cleansing practices and include yoga nidra, a very effective form of deep relaxation. Classes can be tailored to suit all ages, people with special needs, yoga for pregnancy, and children.

Personal Development
Bernie has a background in adult education, particularly women's issues. She offers personal development courses for women and children around self-esteem, healthy relationships, and protective behaviours. Courses topics include: looking at causes of stress including anger, fear, confidence building and assertiveness. She has trained as a community dance facilitator with the Laban Guild and has a great personal love of dance and movement, especially the 5 Rhythms developed by Gabrielle Roth.

Labyrinth
In 2003, Bernie with 2 colleagues, travelled to San Francisco to train as a Labyrinth facilitator with Lauren Artress (Author of 'Walking the Sacred Path'). Following the pilot project established by Omagh Community Arts Initiative, an 11 circuit, 40 foot diameter canvas labyrinth is available for use with groups, men, women, older people, schoolchildren, people with special needs, survivors, church and lay groups, prisoners and ex-prisoners, workers in educational and healthcare establishments and the business community.

Workshops and training programmes are tailored to the needs of specific groups in the business community, the statutory sector, the community/voluntary sector and individuals. Some examples of themes are: goal setting, teambuilding, visioning new directions, stress management, celebrations around a particular day or time a year.
